Hex Collar locknuts are produced by precision machining a collar into a standard nut body.  This collar becomes the receiver for the nut deflection that creates the locking feature. The Hex Collar Locknuts are proven to have the most consistent and residual torque of all similar type products in the market.

Applications

The Hex Collar products are typically of large dimension and used in heavy equipment.  While the collar design allows assembly with minimal thread damage, assembly speed must be reduced as diameters increase.  Mating part must extend at least one full thread past the nut surface to assure locking element engagement.
